The Conference Call

Given the increase in conference calling and and online collaboration you may need to establish a protocol for attendees (noting some of these attendees may be new to this). Just sitting through an important conference call regarding nursing home residents potentially being exposed to the virus due to government decision to house virus sufferers in a facility adjacent to the nursing home. While this is an important issue in itself the normal technical challenges were experienced. So simple, when you send out the invitation details to the meeting send out a protocol for attendance. This may include - (although I'm sure there's a google page for it somewhere):

  1. Mute devices

  2. Join in a quiet space (limiting background noise when raising questions)

  3. Let the facilitator run the meeting - don't interrupt

  4. Facilitators allow for questions at an appropriate time

  5. Be courteous and respectful
